Oct. 24: Science on Tap: Evolutionary puzzles: How moving into new areas can change evolution

October 24th Science on Tap Flyer, 5:30 PM at Rising Silo Brewery in Blacksburg.

October 24: Join us on Oct. 24th at 5:30 p.m. at Rising Silo Brewery in Blacksburg to learn about processes of change in evolutionary biology. How does a population moving into a new area change how evolutionary puzzles are solved? Virginia Tech biological sciences Ph.D. student Caitlin Miller will share her expertise, and we’ll have a hands-on exploration of how range expansions can alter trait frequencies — and even the evolution of new species.

Free and open to the public. Presented by Virginia Tech's Center for Communicating Science and the Virginia Tech chapter of Sigma Xi.
