Record and reflect

Once the event wraps up, take some time to reflect while it’s fresh:

  • Write down what worked well and what you’d change next time — logistics, communication, timing, etc. Modify your own version of this toolkit accordingly.
  • Organize your photos and get them to interested programs and people.
  • Ask for feedback from presenters, volunteers, teachers, and kids, if possible. A quick form or informal email works.
  • Save templates for forms, schedules, and communications — "future you" (or someone else) will be grateful.
  • Note any surprises or last-minute fixes so they’re not surprises next time.
